…and it goes a little something like this.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far, away…
(wait that’s the other story) About 3 years ago I was hired at Macy’s in Whitemarsh, Maryland; as a part timer. Two weeks after I started I loss my Best Friend, My Dad. I guess I wasn’t in a good place at the time, but in that moment…I was called upon to help a young black guy prepare for a job interview. He was homeless and had no money. So, my store manager called me to assist him with picking out an outfit. As I showed him what would be presentable for the interview I was giving him advice on mannerisms and how to conduct himself, in which he was very appreciative. After the final touch was given I noticed he wasn’t wearing a watch. The first thing that came to my mind was my Dad saying to me, “A Man should always have a good watch to be on time.” So I gave him my watch. I said, God Bless and Good Luck and sent him on his way. The next day at Macy’s the morning meeting started and my story about the homeless guy was told and from that point it took on a life of it’s own. The story went all the way to Macy’s Headquarters in New York. The next thing I know is I’m being celebrated as Macy’s Magic Maker for 2013 at Madison Square Garden. But that’s not all; there’s a buzz around the store that I’ve been nominated for The World’s Best Sales Associate for 2015. All I could do was shake my head, I just couldn’t believe all the fuss that was being made over me. To make a long story short. My cover photo tells the rest of the story. When you love what you do and your job is no longer work, it’s very easy to help people in need. God truly is wonderful!
Thanks Dad(my best friend).
